Samba drumming and percussion originates from Brazil,  and comes from the Afro-Brazilian music tradition.  It is a lively full on street sound played in carnivals and festivals.

Fliss Fleck our tutor has been in samba bands for many years and has extensive performing and teaching experience. Fliss has taught a range of age groups and can help groups set up their own community samba bands.

The workshops provide an opportunity to try a range of percussion instruments.  The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed where participants are taught good observation and listening skills.
