Our Tutor Jess Doughty has taught people of all ages.  She has been singing, writing and performing her own songs for many years.  She is also an experienced singer and performer of West African songs to accompany the kora.  In December 2006 we acquired funding from Wales Arts International for Jess to take part in a collaborative music project in Senegal. For more information click here. Whilst in Senegal Jess also learnt many new songs which she now teaches in her workshops.

Her workshops are relaxed and informal, with an atmosphere where all are encouraged to find their voice. Jess has produced excellent results encouraging shy timid singers and people with no singing experience to become confident singers.  One group eventually performed at a music festival.

In addition to singing workshops Jess also takes song writing workshops, using her experience to help singers in bands or those interested in solo performance.
